Learn to Skate Program
STEP 1: Purchase Your Learn to Skate USA Membership
Before registering for classes, every skater must become a member of Learn to Skate USA.
Deep South Ice & Sports Complex is proud to offer the official Learn to Skate USA program, the nation's largest beginner ice skating program, serving more than 1,000 skating schools across the United States.
The Learn to Skate USA curriculum is endorsed by both U.S. Figure Skating and USA Hockey, providing a proven, nationally recognized pathway for skaters of all ages. Whether your goal is figure skating, hockey, or simply learning to skate for fun, our program builds the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
Annual Membership

Required for all Learn to Skate participants.

$20 per skater (valid through June 30, 2027).

You must obtain your Learn to Skate USA membership before registering for classes.
STEP 2: Create Your Deep South Online Account
Deep South Ice & Sports Complex uses an online registration system for all Learn to Skate enrollments.
Before registering for classes, please create an online account. All registrations and payments are completed online.
STEP 3: Choose Your Learn to Skate Class
Browse the class schedule below and select the day and time that best fits your schedule.
All first-time skaters should register in one of the following beginner classes:

Snowplow Sam 1 (Ages 3½–5)

Basic 1 (Ages 6–8)

Basic 1 (Ages 9–17)

Adult 1 (Ages 16+)

Please note that trial classes are not available.
